ON was founded by Vladimir Petković (also known as ON and Vlapet) in 1995, in Belgrade, Serbia. In the beginning, it was meant to be short lived artistic form wrapped in burping form of spoken word and poetry, but by strong impact that this form of poetry left on people interested in such art, ON grown into the full band.

1995-1999

DEMOS

1995 - ON released first demo tape entitled ''Sidrigajlo'' (The Burper) which lasted circa 10 minutes and contained only one, title song. This demo doesn't exists any more. By some accident the master tape was burnt and there wasn't a chance to retrive the recording. Tape was shared in ON's elemntary school for free. Exact number of shared copy is somewheret between 10 and 20.

1997 - As particular people interested in ON's poetry, ON continued with his act, and in summer of 1997 he delivered second demo, entitled ''The Podrigy'' (The Burpery). Demo lasted for 25 minutes and contained three songs: ''Podrigy'', ''Podrigivanje'', ''Mentalno oboleli''. Today, only song ''Mentalo oboleli'' remained untouched. 

1998 - First line up formed, comprising ON and Tizza on lead vocals, on keyboards and Sille on percussion and lead vocals The three released third demo known as ''Dick and Bolls'', first known burping opera which followed adventures of character presented in title of the demo. This demo is stated as their breakthrough and most important mark in ON's history.

1998/1999 - Second line up formed, and it comprised Sille on percussions and drums, Acca on keyboards, vocals, Shobbo on keyboards and vocals, Tizza on guitars and backing vocals, and ON on lead vocals. This line by same year, maded the follow up to the third demo entitled ''Dick and Bolls, part 2'', which was by the end of the 1998, joined to the first part and released as full recording. For short while, Tizza and Shobbo stepped out of the band, and remaining three, on Acca's request, tried to record a third settlement to the ''Dick and Bolls'', but after some starting recording session, this project was dropped out. 

1999 - Tizza and Shobbo returned to the band, and again as five piece, this line up shortly after its formation, expaned into stand alon project known as ''ON & Jebači'', and recorded their first demo entitled ''TelefON'' which was somewhat similar to ''Dick and Bolls''. After this, band gone for recording of second demo, that appeared during the bombing of Serbia, just known as ''ON & Jebači''. During the period of bombing, master tape was accidently re-recorded with Tizza's solo project ''Maria'', which was on some point later lost also. Only track that remained from ''ON & Jebači'' era was song ''Pičko'' (''Cunt''), but in remixed version, which ended up in such form on ON's third official album ''Košchmar'' (Frightvent) released in 2000. Quintet continued to work on next recording, but after the releasing of single ''Smrt za Smrt'' which contained title track and intro ''1,2,1,2'',  this line up disbanded and ON left alone.

In summer of 1999, ON solo, recorded two demos, ''Protiv'' and ''Live at Višnjička banja''. Both demos were erased and destroyed later on, except for the songs ''Colić budala'' and ''Kra-aj'' which ended on ''Košchmar'' (Frightvent).
